
Update to diabetes services during lockdown

During this period of lockdown, as of 12/01/21, the following changes have been made to diabetes services at Noble’s Hospital & the Diabetes Centre.
PAEDIATRIC SERVICES: Clinics are continuing until further notice, with the only changes being that only 1 parent attends with the child and that masks are worn for the duration (unless there is a valid reason for not wearing one).
Families will be contacted by the team before their scheduled appointed to ensure they are happy to attend, otherwise a phone appointment will be offered.
ADULT SERVICES: All clinic appointments have been moved to over the phone for this period, apart from newly diagnosed patients, antenatal clinics, and any urgent requirements needing a face-to-face review.
We also note there are no planned changes to the Freestyle Libre rollout.
The diabetes nursing team remain at work throughout this period and are able to take telephone calls and emails as usual. A reminder of the general contact details below:
